Call for exhibitions 2019 is open in September 2018
The gallery of the Northern Photographic Centre is located at Cultural Centre Valve in the centre of Oulu. There are more than 35000 visitors in the gallery every year. The gallery has seven rooms with walls of stone, floor of red bricks and works are hung with strings (no drilling/nailing). Two rooms are equipped with a video projector and a screen for exhibiting video works. The space is suitable also for group exhibitions.

Submissions should be sent Sunday 30.9.2018 the latest to the address submissions(at)photonorth.fi.
Submission is sent as one pdf file.
Submissions should be named after the applicant. The maximum size of the document is 10MB. Submissions arrived in other forms are not taken into consideration.
The submission document should include
1. Exhibition plan with an exhibition statement.
2. Pictures of the works as well as installation pictures if available. List the sizes and materials of the works. Please mind the string hanging system used in the gallery.
There is an exhibition fee of 400 euros paid for the chosen artists. The centre covers the opening expenses, exhibition insurances and domestic transportation as well as marketing and promotion. Domestic travels and accommodation during the opening are also covered. Terms with international artists will be negotiated.
