Kuukauden Kuvat/ Henna Parkkinen: How to save summer
01.09.2020 - 30.09.2020
The photographs in the exhibition have been filmed on a bike ride in the archipelago. I recorded the moments of interest to me, and put together the final ensemble. Through these pictures, I want to convey to the viewer the quiet moments, mornings when we used to bathing in the sea water and evenings of falling asleep to the sound of grasshoppers. The wondering and being in the moment. This whole collection is my interpretation of the theme of the exhibition. The artworks are pieces from my summer. They are details that made me pick them up, moments when I cried of happiness, and others when I wondered about the seaweed around the rock.
