Photo North – Northern Photographic Center, in collaboration with Pikimusta Pimiö, is organizing a beginner’s darkroom workshop for all those interested in film photography on March 2nd 2024, from 10 AM to 5 PM.
The course covers the practical aspects of working in the darkroom, the use of equipment and chemicals, as well as essential safety considerations. The focus of the workshop is on black and white printing, providing participants with the skills for independent work during their reserved time at Pikimusta Pimiö in the Northern Photography Center.
The workshop accommodates up to five (5) participants, each of whom should bring a pre-developed roll of film. Black and white prints will be produced from the negatives during the course.
The course will be led by the photographic artist Pirjo Lempeä. Printing materials and chemicals are included in the course fee.
