Photo North – Northern Photographic Center invites those who live in Meri-Toppila and are crazy about the place to be local guides to introduce them to significant places. There will be a series of photo walks, where visual artist Tuomo Kangasmaa will lead the participants into the world of looking.
The monthly photo walks always start at 12 noon in the Asukastupa Alvari (Kuorimokatu 1, Oulu).
You can take part in the photo walks spontaneously once or you can participate for all the walks. During the walks, the surroundings are looked at gently, critically and with new eyes. The results and pictures of the walks will be compiled into a small magazine and an exhibition that will spread across the Meri-Toppila area in the winter of 2023.
Anyone interested in photography is welcome to the photography walk, be it beginners, real enthusiasts or even professionals.
The photo walks are carried out in cooperation with the cultural services of the city of Oulu, Photo North – Northern Photographic Center and Asukastupa Alvari.
