Photo North – Northern Photographic Centre organizes a portfolio review for photographers and artists who use photography as a medium on October 11–12, 2023. Photo North together with photography art organizations has invited Kjersti Solbakken, a curator based in Norway, to visit Oulu as part of the annual meeting of photographic Centres. Solbakken is currently curating e.g. LIAF – Lofoten International Art Festival 2024.
The goal of the portfolio reviews is to introduce northern photographers to international, national and local curators. Portfolio reviews are mutual meetings between the artist and the curator, for which the artist is expected to prepare with either digital or paper portfolio material.
