In honor of Oulu’s Capital of Culture year, the Valve Cultural Centre will change its opening hours for 2026. Starting in January, the galleries will be open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 9 pm and Saturday to Sunday from 10 am to 9 pm.
In addition, the Valve Cultural Centre will remain open after Midsummer. Summer opening hours are Tuesday to Friday 13:00-19:00 and Saturday to Sunday 11:00-17:00. Summer opening hours are valid from 23.6.-26.7.2026.
The Valve Cultural Centre is closed:

6.1. Epiphany
3.-6.4. Easter
1.5. May Day
19.-21.6. Midsummer
6.12. Independence Day
In addition to the exhibitions at Valve, Photo North’s 2026 exhibitions will also expand to Rännigalleria during the Pelekääkkö nää polliisia? exhibition from 11 May to 14 June 2026 (Rautatienkatu 11, 90100 Oulu) and at the Oulu Art Museum with the Adaptation exhibition.
